The Upplands Väsby Music and Arts School is now taking a significant step toward greater accessibility and user-friendliness. Under the leadership of Music and Arts School Head Anders Elers Ivarsson, direct booking of courses is being introduced via the municipality's e-service and course catalogue. This means residents can easily view available spots and book courses directly – without having to wait for an admission decision.
Direct booking makes it easier to find and register for the right course. At the same time, the option to register interest and join a waiting list remains for subjects that quickly become fully booked. In this way, the Music and Arts School can both meet demand and gain a clearer picture of the needs within the municipality.
In preparation for this transition, the Music and Arts School has worked with user-centred development. By gathering feedback from guardians, it became clear that many were asking for a simpler and more direct registration process – and now, that’s becoming a reality.
