Student Project within SpeedAdmin - Data, Politics and Impact

Project 1

Identifying the Data That Strengthens Public Funding Arguments

Publicly funded music and arts schools must demonstrate to decision-makers why their work matters.

Your challenge is to identify which administrative data can be used to support convincing political and funding arguments.

Using your knowledge of European politics, you will explore relevant arguments and compare different national and local contexts. You will be able to ask questions to employees at SpeedAdmin to learn more about customer realities.

You will get access to sample data to understand what data there’s available for the schools to use in their arguments.

Your group’s ambition: Explore how data can become a powerful tool for communicating the importance of music and arts education and supporting its future.

The difference your group could make: Help music and arts schools tell a stronger and more convincing story about their value through data.

Project 2

How Can We Make Complex Data Easier to Understand and Utilize?

Many music and arts schools collect large amounts of data but struggle to turn it into useful knowledge.

Your challenge is to discover why users find lists, filters, and connected data difficult to understand.

You will explore customer sample questions, learn about existing tools and materials. You will be able to ask questions to employees at SpeedAdmin to learn more about customer challenges.

You will get access to sample data to understand what data there’s available for the schools to use in their arguments. Based on your findings, you will design a practical solution that helps customers become more confident data users.

Your group’s ambition: Find an inspiring and practical way to make complex data easier for customers to access, understand, and use correctly.

The difference your group could make: Help customers move from simply collecting data to understanding it and using it with confidence.
