SpeedAdmin Play! consists of a large number of updates and brand new features that we have announced during the year via webinars and Superuser meetings. After the Summer holidays, we will start monthly webinars about SpeedAdmin Play! At the first webinar in September, we will provide an update and overview of all the features again. Remember to sign up if you are still a little unsure about what to expect from SpeedAdmin Play!
The migration to SpeedAdmin Play! is already underway, with the first 17 schools successfully adopting the new system in 2024. These schools include both large and small institutions across five different countries, providing us with valuable input to ensure user-driven improvements before a larger-scale migration begins in 2025.
Here’s the expected timeline:
• Spring 2025: A select group of "First-Movers" will have the option to migrate early. However, most schools will start setting up during the spring with the goal of going fully live at the beginning of the new academic year (2025/2026).
• Autumn 2025 to January 2026: The second wave of schools is expected to begin their setup in autumn 2025 and go live in January 2026.
There is no final deadline for migration. Each school will have the opportunity to plan thoroughly and choose their preferred approach:
• Become an early adopter
• Opt for a secure mid-point transition, or
• Wait and migrate at the very end.
Please note that SpeedAdmin Legacy has now entered maintenance mode, meaning no new features will be introduced. All future updates and improvements will be available exclusively in SpeedAdmin Play!

With the succesful migration of both some major as well as smaller schools we now have clear migration plan templates, but every customer will have the option to adapt their migration plan or follow a standard with a group of schools. The process is carefully planned and supported to ensure a smooth transition for all users. It will be possible to start the setup in SpeedAdmin Play! while still running SpeedAdmin Legacy, and roll out per usergroup at a time. It is recommended to do this as short as possible.
Data Migration
No separate data migration is required as SpeedAdmin Play! will be activated within your existing database.
Data to Be Created:
• Courses
• Bookings
• Specific standard settings
Data to Be Updated:
• Financial setup (fees, rates, and discount settings)
• Registration page settings
• Automatic templates
Data Excluded from Migration:
• Cancellations
• Attendance records
• Historical financial data (e.g., charges and payments)
• Legacy lists
• Forum content, including any files (if used)
• Bookings
It is possible to access the data excluded in the migration for a period of time through SpeedAdmin Legacy.
For most of our current customers, the upgrade to SpeedAdmin Play! is not included in their existing contract. This means a new contract or an amendment to the current agreement will be required.

Migration from SpeedAdmin Legacy to SpeedAdmin Play! is included at no additional cost when following the standard migration package.

• Individual Migration Plan: A specific plan outlining your migration timeline and key milestones.
• Preparation Webinar & Video Guides: Step-by-step resources to help you prepare.
• One-on-One Online Session (1 hour): Personalized guidance to assist you through the preparation process.
• Post-Migration Follow-Up Call (1 hour): A session to address any questions and ensure a smooth transition.
• Teacher Training Resources: Webinars and video guides to support your staff.
• Follow-Up Meeting: A final check-in to confirm successful implementation and address any remaining needs.
Additional Services: To further enhance your migration experience, we offer the following optional services, available upon request for an additional fee:
• Shared or individual workshops
• Test databases
• Bespoke consultancy services
To provide a more transparent and fair pricing structure, SpeedAdmin Play! will be billed as a monthly subscription.
• Fixed Subscription Levels: Schools are placed in a subscription tier based on the number of active accounts(students and schools) from the previous academic year.
• Definition of Active Accounts: A student or school is considered active if they have at least one active lesson, charge, or instrument hire during the academic year.
• Exclusions for Non-Invoiced Students: If you have students who are not invoiced, it is possible to set up a separate agreement to ensure they are not counted toward your subscription tier.Additional Details:
• Subscriptions are fixed for the calendar year.
